Thank you for stopping by our online shop. All of the honey produced by our bees is naturally extracted from the honey frames without using any heating processes. This means the honey you get will be as close as possible to scooping it straight out of the Hive. We have focused our business on providing “apiary specific” honey. When we harvest, the honey is collected, extracted and jarred by it’s specific apiary. We want the term “local Honey” to mean just that. Honey bees have a foraging range of approximately 3 miles, meaning we can ensure that the jars you buy are honey local to the apiary you choose offering you raw, unadulterated honey from Hive to Jar. Currently we have 3 locations as listed below.
Situated between Boxley Village and Blue Bell Hill on the top of Kent’s North downs in an AONB, at 186m (610ft) above sea level, the apiary is surrounded by arable Farmland. This has produced a light, sweet and delicate runny honey. Ideal for drizzling. 2024 saw broad bean flower in the local vicinity and, after speaking to the farmer, 2025 looks set be Oil seed rape in the adjoining fields. This produces a beautiful set honey and is extracted as a Spring crop.
Deep in the heart of the Kent countryside, This lovely Rural Apiary has produced a light, slightly floral, delicate runny honey. With huge thanks to Jo from Hounds on the Heath, for giving us a wonderful wildflower meadow to house the apiary. She has allowed to meadow to remain uncut all year and the bees have really taken advantage of this fantastic location. 2025 should hopefully show a steady increase of colonies and has been a joy to visit the bees each week.
This is Such an idyllic Apiary located deep in the grounds of Barty Farm in Bearsted. Currently, the most recent apiary for us, Louise and Alan, the owners of the farm have been amazing by letting us choose exactly where we wanted to place the bees in their expansive 180+ acres.
We have placed a modest six hives here for this year but will be increasing this considerably in Spring 2025. The bees seem to have taken to the apiary well, so we are really excited about next years spring and summer honey crop and what delicious variance the honey will taste of.
Location wise, the apiary is surrounded by some open woodland with pastures for grazing livestock. In and around the Apiary itself are large clusters of beautiful and fragrant wild Foxglove. There are also many residential properties in the village surrounding the farm which will benefit from pollination by our bees.
